Plant Propagation for Gardeners
£40 per person for a two-hour workshop
Ever wanted to learn how to make more plants for free? This small group workshop can teach you the techniques you need to propagate different plants for free. Bespoke classes based on a range of propagation techniques. Groups have a choice of techniques depending upon the seasonal availability of plant materials:
- Hardwood cuttings
- Softwood cuttings
- Greenwood cuttings
- Semi-ripe cuttings
- Root, bulb, and rhizome cuttings
- Leaf cuttings
- Layering
- Air layering
Friend or Foe? Insect identification for Gardeners using a Key
£40 per person for a two-hour workshop
This small group workshop will go on the hunt for insects in our gardens to identify whether they are friends or foes to our plants. We will use a variety of trapping methods from sweep nets to live insect traps to help us to study the diversity of insect life in our gardens. We will use identification guides and Keys to help us discover what lives in our garden ecosystems.
